Flimsy construction with poor transfer performance
1) I'm undecided about this device and it's the write speeds during file transference that is the main concern. These are very slow. Previous USB 3 sticks when used via USB 2 ports would have transfer rates of 30-60 mbs and often higher. This device grinds along at between 3 to 6 mbs.
A 1.5 Gb file went at 6 mbs and a 9 gb file of several tv episodes ground along at 3-8 mbs. Hardly impressive!
2) The case is very light weight and feels flimsy and is unlikely to stand up to much normal usage of wear and tear. Robust it is not.
3) The removable end cap just sits on the back end and will easily detach with not much effort.
Yes, you get a lot of capacity (mean average of 230Gb ) for the low cost but, I'd now choose something that (at least) appears to be more solidly constructed and from a major brand.
I was hoping that the 'MyMemory' brand would impress but, with this particular memory stick it hasn't.
Sadly, and honestly I cannot recommend this product.
